We leave in just a few hours. All is packed – well mostly. The coffee maker is brewing coffee right now and I’m sure I’m forgetting something. Instead of a series of buses, we managed to find a ride to Vila Bela.
It is a bit more expensive (largely because gasoline is almost twice as expensive at is in the U.S. – about $6.50 a gallon). We will arrive in Vila Bela this afternoon, camp for the night, and launch our boats bright and early tomorrow morning.
